Sagnik Das is the driving force behind Auris, India’s next-generation financial advisor ecosystem. With a First Class Honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Exeter and an award-winning MSc in Advanced Materials Science from University College London, Sagnik blends academic excellence with real-world customer insights gained during his tenure at Apple’s Regent Street flagship.
His UCL research earned distinction at University College Hospital, showcasing his passion for innovation and problem-solving.
Two years at Apple taught him how to build trust, delight customers, and scale exceptional service.
Growing up in a family of life-insurance professionals, Sagnik witnessed firsthand the dedication of agents. He envisioned a modern,
dignified path for financial advisors—one that combines technology with human connection.

Diganta Das—affectionately known as D.D.—is the heart and soul behind Auris’s people-first philosophy. With a career spanning over three decades in life insurance, mutual funds, and capital markets, he has built a reputation as a compassionate leader, tireless innovator, and unwavering advocate for financial protection.
Despite financial constraints, D.D. made the courageous choice to relocate from Kharagpur to Kolkata— entrusting the family mutual-fund legacy to his younger brother. In the bustling metropolis, he rose to become one of the largest distributors of life-insurance policies, guided by a simple creed: protect the customer, keep commitments for life.
Co-founding Auris was Diganta’s chance to fuse decades of “old-school” relationship building with cutting-edge technology.
